Training and Development: Centre for Peeps
Our ‘Centre for Peeps’ aims to ensure we are growing our people with a clear learning and development roadmap, through our dedicated training facility in Watford, Hertfordshire. We have five key components to our learning and development approach, each of which has clear ambitions and deliverable metrics. One of these programmes is our ‘on the bench’ development programme for future managers or shift leaders. This ensures we continue to grow our teams from the inside and promote organic internal opportunities to our talent pipeline. Our ‘leadership mix’ programme brings together the ‘12 key ingredients’ which will help create a distinctively Krispy Kreme culture. This will be embedded across the business in the next 12 months. In 2019, we improved our health and food safety compliance training for all employees and in 2020 our aspiration is that every single Krispy Kreme manager will pass through the Centre for Peeps to ensure they have the skills to be a Krispy Kreme super star.

Health, Safety and Welfare
We are committed to meeting in full our duty to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of staff. Incentives like 5* rated Anti Slip Safety Footwear (PPE) has been extended to all manufacturing employees with a significant reduction in slips and trips. All our employees are trained to Level One in Health and Safety and our Team Leaders and above are trained to Level Two. Our desire in 2020 is to up-skill all employees to Level Two and Team Leaders and above to Level Three. We are committed to meeting all health and safety requirements specified in law and adopt codes of practice and industry best practice as appropriate.
