Leicester City Football Club thanked fans for their support, and celerated chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's birthday, by handing out 30,000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts at a home game against Southampton.
Housed in bespoke branded boxes, the Original Glazed doughnuts went down a storm, and saw fans taking to social media to share their joy. The gesture also made national headlines as Leicester City were praised for their generosity in the run up to their impressive Premier League win.

Susan Whelan, Leicester City's chief executive, said: "This is another very generous gesture from the owners of the club.
There are many special bonds that exist at our football club between the players, the staff, the owners and the fans and that's been vital to the incredible season we've had."
A spokesperson for Krispy Kreme said: "Giving away enough doughnuts to line the pitch 8 times over, owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, wanted to personally thank the Leicester faithful for their unwavering support for his team."
