Fundraising for Children In Need – Kingsbrook

On Friday 20th November 2009 we ordered 43 boxes of 12 original glazed doughnuts to sell at school. We know Krispy Kremes are truly delicious and 23 boxes had already been brought by staff member, leaving 20 boxes (240 doughnuts) to be sold at break time.

As soon as the lunch bell rang a crowd of excited students surrounded the Krispy Kreme table and within 5 minutes all the doughnuts had gone, and there were many satisfied customers. Though unfortunately some had to go without Next fundraiser we wil have to buy many, many, many more! )

Thanks to eveyone who joined in it was for a fantastic cause, and thank you Krispy Kreme for providing such brilliant doughnuts at great fundraising prices.

KRISPY KREME TEAMS RAISE FUNDS FOR CHARITY…

We recently ran an internal competition to see which of our stores could raise the most money for their chosen charities, and here are the results:

FACTORY STORES: 1st Place was shared by our Birmingham and Bluewater Stores:

Bluewater held a KK fete for Ellenor Lions Hospice and raised over £1,100 pounds on a great day in their store with all the team in fancy dress as superheros!
Birmingham attended the BRMB midlands music festival and sold Original Glazed doughnuts to the value of £900 and got to meet Chico, Diversity and others.

FRESH SHOPS: 1^st place went to London Bridge, Holborn, Liverpool St, Bromley and Selfridges Oxford Street who grouped together to take part in a night hike across London in aid of Maggies cancer charity. They also had collection boxes in store and raised over £400 for Great Ormond Street children’s hospital.

In total across our stores, we raised over £5,500 for the charities and would like to thank all our staff for their participation and hard work.

Bonfire Night

Thank you so much for your fund raising doughnuts. We sold 15 dozen (and 150 toffee apples) in less than 55 minutes on Bonfire Night. The funds raised will go towards our new gym and equipment. Next year we hope to order even more as we sold out so quickly and left some people disappointed!

Year 10 in action!

Year 10 was proving very busy. There were exams, productions, exchange trips, talent contests and parties. (The parties were outside school). But all these things were for ourselves. We thought we needed to do something for other people.

One student on the Year Council had a family member in the Fire Service. She suggested we support the Fire Fighter’s Charity. Someone else knew of Krispy Kreme’s charity scheme, so we decided to investigate. In the end we ordered 32 dozen doughnuts – and sold them in 15 minutes during morning break! Every tutor group in the year decided to do something to raise money: car washing, photography, ‘rowing the Channel’ and so on. Finally we raised £1.000.00. Thank you Krispy Kreme for helping us to think beyond our own interests.

Guide fund Raiser

The 11th Mitcham Guides raised funds to purchase new tents and equipment for remote camps. Selling Krispy Kreams helped us reach our target and purchase some great new tents.

I took 20 dozens of your fundraising doughnuts and they where a huge hit! We will be holding another charity event and will 100% be taking more of these doughnuts. They were selling like hot cakes!

Fundraising with Krispy Kremes at school

I ordered 120 doughnuts for a sale at school and they all went within 40 mins – they just kept going and going and going, but it was really fun today and I’m definitely doing it again!

The Big Brew Up

Thank you! We pretty much sold out of our 20 dozen doughnuts in 3 hours. A roaring success, for our inaugural Big Brew Up- raising money for the soldiers and families at Thorney Island Station.

Learning disabilities

We raised money by selling your great doughnuts for people with learning disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy/Seizures and various other sensory/motor disorders. This was for their activity club transport, food, care, volunteer training, entertainment and summer trip!

‘Children Helping Children’

On Saturday 28th February, HemiHelp held it’s annual ‘Children Helping Children’ fundraising concert at Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square, London. The evening was a great success; we bought 33 dozen doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and suggested that people make a donation of £1 in return for a doughnut. Many people gave much more than this and we estimate that we made approximately £792 just from doughnut sales! Overall we raised over £60,000 for HemiHelp – a really successful event – thank you Krispy Kreme!
